I really love Candy Cane Colada. I use a candle warmer, so I let me candles go a bit longer than I technically should. The peppermint comes out for me nicely. I was okay with Candy Emporium. The longer I let it melt the more it mellowed into sweet mint candy the old church ladies used to give me. I returned it anyway. Disappointed in the All is Calm collection all around personally. I sincerely don’t understand why they don’t crack open the vault for marketing and buzz. It must be an ingredients thing. The fact they aren’t even trying to re-engage longtime buyers is boggling.

Next year, for candle day, would you go in store to pick out candles in the amount you want or would you still do online only?

Compared to previous years candle day and winter scents…BBW failed In bringing the pizazz from scents to packaging. Where’s the bakery?? Even their body care this year was a flop.

I thought I would love Brioche French Toast, so I bought four. I agree with you, it was awful to me burning - I could ONLY smell maple syrup to the point that it made me nauseous. I returned the three I didn’t burn and would like to return the one I burned, but will probably just keep it. I didn’t care for Hot Pink Cocoa either. It smells like a raspberry filled cheap Whitman sampler chocolate to me. Caramel Frappuccino was just a repack of White Caramel Cold Brew, and I’m not big on caramel scents either. White Chocolate Macadamia was the best of the collection in my opinion, but still kind of bland and similar to other coconut bakery scents we’ve had before, as you mentioned. I was a real Scrooge about the bakery collection. I loved the idea of them, but not the execution.

I hated all the new candles for Candle Day this year, including the supposed bakery collection. They were all very artificial and unpleasant to my nose. And the Christmas candles this year were lackluster in general. The best one to me was Happy Hanukkah. It was much stronger and better than Wildberry Jam Donut but didn’t seem to sell well, I assume because it was in Hanukkah packaging.

You a good one for putting up with their online shenanigans, I can't do it. The poor organization, the shipping, not knowing when your things will show up, blind buying, not knowing if they'll pack the items right or pick defective items, and worst of all an artificial line to access the website LMAO. When you mentioned that rainbow swirl candy scent i thought "Dang! i missed out on that one!" until you mentioned cherry 😂 i wouldn't have liked it anyway. I thought candy emporium was really weird too.

I am so sick and tired of BBW's stupid artificial scarcity. I should not have to compete to purchase candles or make it my full time job. This whole "candle x wasn't put out until 9 am but it sold out by 11 am" thing has got to stop.

I had an amazing online shopping experience. Usually my Candle Day orders take forever. I ordered 6 am Friday, early access day. They were shipped that afternoon and I had them Sunday. I wasn't interested in the White Elephant collection at all.

Sounds like you didn't like most of them. Just curious what some of your favorite scents are.

I did the same as you- two orders online. Which was fine. Like you said nothing got canceled and relatively quick shipping so that’s a win. However, really not digging the way they release gradually in store. Takes the fun out of it for me. Not trying to check in multiple times over the weekend. I know what I want. Let me get it day 1.

I absolutely love Raspberry Thumbprint it’s more fruity and jammy I love it burning too in my room .

Bren!! I get so excited when I see you upload!! ❤❤ The only one I’ve picked up out of these 4 so far is the Berry Thumbprint, I actually love it cold. I haven’t burned it yet, but I instantly thought of Yankee candle Merry Berry Linzer. I STILL have a few of the Cookie Swap Collection! One of my favorite collections from Yankee. I haven’t picked up too many, if any others at all of BBW Christmas candles. I too LOVEE Cinnamon pine cone!! My FAVORITE Pine Bodycare is Merry Berry Christmas (circa 2015-16),, so glad I stocked up. If you never tried it I think you’d like it. I LOVE Cherry Mocha!! Again another one I’m glad I stocked up on. I’m sick too and have the same cough and same asthma symptoms for like 2 weeks now. I hope u feel better. ❤

When I smelled the Hanukkah candle, I instantly thought it pumpkin spiced cheesecake. I don’t smell what most are saying. I thought I was crazy for thinking this lol

Love your hauls and reviews Bren. But I have to disagree with you on Happy Hanukkah. I’m sure your nose picks up the similarities that it does, but I get a very strong jelly donut scent from Happy Hanukkah. And I don’t think it’s that similar to Wildberry Jam Donut because that’s a weak fruity, barely bakery scent to my nose. Happy Hanukkah is a strong thrower and I think you might get something different from it when burning. Hope you get over your cold soon!

I loved Merry Mistletoe, is golden berry mistletoe like that?

How can we minimize the burned smokey scent that happens towards mid burn? I was thinking because I cap to turn off candle so the smoke gets trapped in melted wax. So now im blowing out & putting candle in garage so smoke doesnt get recycled in melted wax ....its helped a lil but open to other suggestions, thx!
